A nationally certified and licensed U.S. Medical Doctor or Nurse Practitioner will be embedded to your group and will support your entire health focused volunteer immersion experience. 🤝 Meet Your Team Before You Travel

Yes, you’ll meet your group leader and fellow volunteers approximately three weeks before departure during a pre-trip orientation event. This collaborative session helps you connect, prepare, and build momentum before your immersive experience begins.

👥 Volunteer groups typically include 15 to 25 participants, and you’ll stay together as one close-knit team throughout both the volunteer service portion (e.g., 7 days) and the adventure tour portion (e.g., 7 days) of your journey—forming lifelong friendships along the way!

👨‍⚕️ A Licensed U.S. Healthcare Provider Will Be Onsite

At least one licensed U.S. healthcare provider will join your group during all clinical volunteer days. This provider will:

• Be onsite for patient-related activities

• Offer support and guidance to all volunteers

✅ You’ll meet this provider at your pre-departure orientation, along with your travel group and leadership team.

🌎 Who Joins Our Volunteer Teams?

We thoughtfully select each group of volunteers to foster a positive, collaborative, and mission-aligned experience. Our application process helps us assemble diverse, well-supported teams for each unique immersion.

👩‍⚕️ Typical Volunteer Group Makeup

Here’s a snapshot of who you’ll likely serve alongside:

• 60–75% are typically students on health profession tracks
  (e.g., pre-nursing, nursing, pre-med, PA, NP, MPH candidates)
• Others may be friends of these students or invited peers
• We also welcome students from complementary fields such as:
  🧠 Psychology, 📚 Social Work, 📰 Journalism, 🌍 Public Administration, and more
• Often, each group includes one or more volunteers driven by pure passion for service—no clinical background required!
• Occasionally, an additional practicing U.S. provider joins the group simply to serve and support
