Phase One + Phase Two
Transparent. Structured. No Surprises.
We do not advertise a low base fee and add charges later. Your final total — and the amount payable to each organization — is provided in your official acceptance email.
Why there is a program fee. Help2Serve.Care is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 93-3620516). Your Phase One fee covers only the direct cost of delivering a safe, well-supported immersion — in-country housing, meals, transportation, supplies, mentorship, and on-the-ground safety systems — in support of our charitable mission. Program fees are payments for the participant experience and are not charitable contributions. Tax-deductible gifts to Help2Serve.Care must be made separately through our Donate page. Participants may wish to consult their own tax adviser regarding any separately paid unreimbursed expenses. Cost should never decide who can serve: every participant receives a fundraising playbook, and need-aware scholarships are funded by donors. Make a tax-deductible gift →
Start Your Application or Inquiry →

Because program fees cover housing, meals, transportation, and program services provided to each participant, the IRS treats them as payments for goods and services received rather than as charitable gifts. They are not tax-deductible, even though these funds support your volunteer activities. This applies to Phase One as well as to the optional components. Participants may wish to consult a tax advisor regarding any unreimbursed expenses they pay directly, such as airfare.

Where Your Payments Go

Your initial $500 program deposit is paid exclusively to Help2Serve.Care and is credited only toward your Phase One service-learning immersion. No portion of your initial deposit is paid or transferred to Help2Immerse.Global LLC.

If you choose Phase Two or another optional Help2Immerse.Global LLC experience, its price will be clearly identified and paid separately to Help2Immerse.Global LLC.

Submit Your $500 Phase One Deposit

For accepted applicants, your $500 deposit is paid exclusively to Help2Serve.Care and credited only toward Phase One. You will receive a payment link in your acceptance email to provide your deposit. Common Questions

Pricing FAQs

No. It is optional, and participants who do not select an optional component are not charged for that component.

No. Because program fees cover housing, meals, transportation, and program services provided to each participant, the IRS treats them as payments for goods and services received rather than as charitable gifts — and that applies to Phase One as well as to the optional components. You may wish to consult a tax advisor regarding any unreimbursed expenses you pay directly, such as airfare. A gift made to Help2Serve.Care itself, rather than toward a program fee, is tax-deductible.

International airfare to and from the host country, visa fees (if applicable), and travel insurance are not included. Everything else — accommodation, meals, transportation, activities, mentorship, supplies, orientation, and support — is covered across the two phases, in the combined total quoted in your acceptance email.

Your exact total is provided in your official acceptance email after you submit your application, broken out into the amount payable to Help2Serve.Care for Phase One and the amount payable for any optional component you select. The cost depends on your selected country, program focus, and dates. For 2026 and 2027 programs, the combined total ranges between $3,800–$4,800.

Change of mind: cancel within 24 hours of paying and we refund the full $500, no fee. After 24 hours, up to 45 days before departure: we refund $485. We retain a 3% processing fee ($15) because card processing fees on the original payment are not returned to us. Within 45 days of departure: the deposit is not refunded, but is applied to a rescheduled immersion within two years.

Absolutely. Upon acceptance, you receive a detailed fundraising guide with step-by-step strategies and messaging templates. Many past participants have offset a significant portion of their program cost through fundraising from family, friends, local businesses, and community organizations.

How You Fund It

Cost should never be the reason you can’t go.

Most participants don’t simply write a check — they fundraise their way there, and we hand them the playbook to do it. Between fundraising support, scholarships, and awards for those who bring a group, “I’m going” is far more reachable than it first looks.

A fundraising playbook

Templates, campaign tools, and a step-by-step plan. Most participants cover a meaningful share of their program cost this way.

Scholarships & awards

Need-aware support and recognition awards help committed participants close the gap and get to the field.

Lead a group, go further

Bring friends as an Ambassador and earn graduated awards toward your own cost — up to fully covered.
